  11. I am using a Banksia 14400 modem,  and no matter what program I am using 
  12. (ProComm Plus,  Telix,  or Terminal - which I am using now),  the text is 
  13. really slow at appearing on the screen,  even when I am not typing,  but 
  14. just waiting,  say,  for a newsgroup to appear.  I have tried fiddling 
  15. with the text transfer settings but to no avail.  In most cases,  I have 
  16. to move the mouse,  after I have finished typing,  in order to get the 
  17. text (which I have just typed) to appear on the screen.
